Week 55: Transfers, I Am Training In Vargas, 9 girls 1 bathroom, Our Promised Land Is Not That Far Off

Me and Hermana Super
Well it happened. I had transfers. But to just go with the wierd transfers from three weeks ago, I am back in VARGAS. It seems like I just can`t get away from this place jaja, there hast to be something important for me to do there. Seeing as I was there for a week and a half, then 4 and a half months and now I am back. And this time I am training. Ay yai yai. It is a whole nother ball of stress. I was excited at the thought of being a normal missionary but no. Well my hija se llama Hermana Super. Isn`t that the coolest name ever?!? She is from Guyaquil and is a sweet person. She came with a stong desire to serve. But it is a little hard for her in our sector because it is pura hills and stairs and the elevation is a big change for her. All the members call us Super Milligan, I am okay with that name jajaja. I will say that I do love Vargas, the members are really some of my favorites in all of my time here. They are so loving and I am glad to be back. I know that I mentioned a less active named Fabiola, if you could add her to your prayers, that would be great. She is such an amazing person, and the advesary is fighting a stong battle for her.

Well, the past week was a locura. Plain and simple. Monday we finally found a new apartment and were able to get the paperwork sorted out and then Tuesday the new misionaries came in and we still only had one bathroom. Can I say. CRAZY. 9 Girls with only one bathroom. Never again. Not to mention I was a nervous wreck, because I knew that one of them was going to be mi hija. That was nerve wracking. And well now we are walking up and down hills and I love being back as a normal missionary, but I will say that I do miss the different things that we did as health specialists. Now I know what to do it something happens to me. Jajaja

So, we had a conference with Pres Christensen a few weeks ago and he really stressed the importance of the first companion. He said that in a conversation he had with Pres. Eyring (yeah, my President of the Mission has conversations with apostols) that when Pres, Eyring is deciding where missionaries need to go he thinks about their trainer and prays to find where there trainer is and that is where they need to go. Shnap. No pressure or anything.

Spiritual thought:
Just a picture that made me laugh
2 Nefi 1:5 it says that even with aflictions they were able to obtain a land of promise and that the Lord made covenents with them. I know that even when we feel that our "promised land" seems really far because of trials, problems or whatnot, that we are not that far from the promise and even closer to our Father in Heaven especially when we make covenents with Him. Covenents being special promises between God and you. A promise that if we will do our part He will give us blessings that we never imagined possible. I know that this is true because I have made convenios with my Father in Heaven and I have seen a few of these blessings. I have yet to see all of them. I know that just like Lehi said " I have seen His grace, and I am forever [wrapped] in the arms of His love" (2Nefi 1:15). Have a great week and REMEMB
ER WHO YOU ARE. A child of God, the King of the most high.

Les quiero mucho,

Hna Milligan
