Week 55: Transfers, I Am Training In Vargas, 9 girls 1 bathroom, Our Promised Land Is Not That Far Off

Me and Hermana Super
Well it happened. I had transfers. But to just go with the wierd transfers from three weeks ago, I am back in VARGAS. It seems like I just can`t get away from this place jaja, there hast to be something important for me to do there. Seeing as I was there for a week and a half, then 4 and a half months and now I am back. And this time I am training. Ay yai yai. It is a whole nother ball of stress. I was excited at the thought of being a normal missionary but no. Well my hija se llama Hermana Super. Isn`t that the coolest name ever?!? She is from Guyaquil and is a sweet person. She came with a stong desire to serve. But it is a little hard for her in our sector because it is pura hills and stairs and the elevation is a big change for her. All the members call us Super Milligan, I am okay with that name jajaja. I will say that I do love Vargas, the members are really some of my favorites in all of my time here. They are so loving and I am glad to be back. I know that I mentioned a less active named Fabiola, if you could add her to your prayers, that would be great. She is such an amazing person, and the advesary is fighting a stong battle for her.

Well, the past week was a locura. Plain and simple. Monday we finally found a new apartment and were able to get the paperwork sorted out and then Tuesday the new misionaries came in and we still only had one bathroom. Can I say. CRAZY. 9 Girls with only one bathroom. Never again. Not to mention I was a nervous wreck, because I knew that one of them was going to be mi hija. That was nerve wracking. And well now we are walking up and down hills and I love being back as a normal missionary, but I will say that I do miss the different things that we did as health specialists. Now I know what to do it something happens to me. Jajaja

So, we had a conference with Pres Christensen a few weeks ago and he really stressed the importance of the first companion. He said that in a conversation he had with Pres. Eyring (yeah, my President of the Mission has conversations with apostols) that when Pres, Eyring is deciding where missionaries need to go he thinks about their trainer and prays to find where there trainer is and that is where they need to go. Shnap. No pressure or anything.

Spiritual thought:
Just a picture that made me laugh
2 Nefi 1:5 it says that even with aflictions they were able to obtain a land of promise and that the Lord made covenents with them. I know that even when we feel that our "promised land" seems really far because of trials, problems or whatnot, that we are not that far from the promise and even closer to our Father in Heaven especially when we make covenents with Him. Covenents being special promises between God and you. A promise that if we will do our part He will give us blessings that we never imagined possible. I know that this is true because I have made convenios with my Father in Heaven and I have seen a few of these blessings. I have yet to see all of them. I know that just like Lehi said " I have seen His grace, and I am forever [wrapped] in the arms of His love" (2Nefi 1:15). Have a great week and REMEMB
ER WHO YOU ARE. A child of God, the King of the most high.

Les quiero mucho,

Hna Milligan

Week 47: Goodbye And Hello A New Mission President, Preparing For New Assignments, A New Family, A Little Pday Fun

Hey Daddy, so I don´t have a lot of time but I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE YOU!! And thank you for getting me the address. I realized that I didn´t know my own address anymore jajaj. So Daddy I will just share a few of the experiences of the week with you. This was the last week of Pres. y Hna Ghent and it was hard. Hna. Ghent took us out to lunch and we got to visit with her and that was just the best! And then we got to say good bye and then the next day we said hello to Pres Christensen and his family. They are great! I feel like we are going to be learning a lot from them. I am excited. We were here in the offices really early to get everything put together to great them and it was a neat experience. saddly I have developed a little bit of a complex here, I like it. I feel useful and like I am doing some good. And it is going to be hard to let it go when the time comes, which will probably be soon, in about 2 weeks or less. So with this next transfer I am going to need a lot of prayers. Jaja. Daddy I love you a lot and I am thankful for your example,
This is what my new
sector looks like...
to show me that it doesn´t matter when, it is possible to put behind negative thoughts and start listening to the positive voices instead. I am grateful for that THANK YOU DADDY!!!! Keep up the good work!!! I know that you will start seeing the things that you are looking for real soon. Just keep trusting in the Lord and doing your part and everything will fall into place. Hebrews 11:37 y 40 (in the foot notes) YOU ARE MY FAVORITE DADDY!!

Te amo,

Lauree

Hey Mommy! Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for getting that all together so I am going to sign that, scan it and then re send it to you. I sure hope it works!

So I don´t have a lot of time to write we had antother crazy pday. jaja Today we met Pres y Hna Christensen and their daughter Katie. They are great! They have a really strong presence about them and I am really excited to learn from them. Now don´t get me wrong I miss Pres Ghent and Hna Ghent a lot. I cried yesterday because that sí was the good bye. Pres Ghent gave us another hug and told us that we are like their daughters. I couldn´t keep the tears back. And Hna Ghent, is such an inspired woman. She knows just what I need to hear and she is brave enough to tell me it. I will have to tell you about it next week in more detail. this week has been an emotionaly eshausting week. We were moved from our sector to a new one, that is HUGE and full of mostly rich people and buildings, now there is nothing wrong with rich people, it´s just that they have houses that are hard to reach jaja. But we are teaching a less active family and they are FANTASTIC!! So that´s great! They are the Family Paez. Umm I had a whole bunch that I want to say but with the time restraint I am trying to summerize everything. Jaja And in the process I don´t know what to say. well today we went bowling
with part of our district jaja because most of our district is the assistants, the secrataries, and us. We all have pday on saturday. So that was fun, I we went to one of the biggest malls of my life. I felt a little lost. Well Mommy, I know that Heavenly Father is watching out for you, and even when you stuggle He is there to help you. One of the phrases that Hna Vélez uses a lot is "to shake is normal, the thing is not to shake so much that you fall" of course it is in spanish but taht is more or less the translation. Mommy, the Church is true and I know that you will be able to do all that you need to in a pleasing manner before your Father. Mommy I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH IT HURTS SOMETIMES!!! Just remember that and that you are the BEST MOMMY EVER!!!

Te amo,

tu hija,
