Week 40-41: Greetings From Dr. House, Happy Birthday In Deed, The Blessings of Prophets and Apostles...And Cuy!!!!

Hermana Milligan with her District
Okay so first things first. April is done and so I have 2 hours to write again! Wooohoo! and second, sorry for not writing this
monday, we had a couple of sick elders and we ended up spending the whole day in the hospital with them, but don`t worry they are doing much much much better! President Ghent gave us permision to write today, and it is highly probable that we will be having Pday los saturdays (but just in case Monday might be Pday) And the week before that we spent almost the whole week in the hospital as well... It is to a point that the doctors there are coming to know us really well that they greet us when they see us. One of my favorite doctors looks just like Dr. House, just a little shorter and younger and not as grumpy. jaja!

So a lot has happened in this past couple of weeks. Hmm where to start...
Okay so for my Bday, there is this amazing, wonderful family of members who called us and were like "hey, we need you to come to our house we need your help" Okay, so we went and they had made cake and sang and every thing. They even wrote me a a little card. It was so nice, nothing really big but it was so sweet. I love that family soo much! They are the family Miño and they are the best! Then I get a cal from the bishop saying happy birthday and we have a present for you, will you give a talk in sacrament meeting tomorrow? (I think all bishops must take classes on how to pester people jaja JK). Yep so the day after my birthday I got to give a talk, but it actually went really well. It just kind of flowed and then I was done, that was nice jaja. But the best, and I mean the BEST birthday present that weekend was that one of the less actives that we have been working with since the last transfer, came to church!!!!! I almost cried, and the best thing is thtat she said that she didn`t come just to pass the time, but she came to stay and remember what had made her feel so happy in the past. Her name is Fabiola, she is one of my favorite people! So that was one of my favortie things that happened. She is progressing a lot.
Then monday we tried to have a pday and it just didn`t quite work out, but Hna. Vèlez needed to get her hair cut and so we looked around at a few different places and she decied on one that looked really cute, and clean, we walk in and all the workers at a glance looked like women, but when you looked a little closer, they were not women, they were not women at all... It was soo funny! Poor dears were trying so hard, but it doesn`t quite work when you have the 5 O`clock shadow. Jajaja. But they do a good job, Hna Vèlez her hair looks great.  Jaja it was a great experience. jaja...
Oh! I did get the package from Becci (the one who was renting grandma`s basement) the day before my bday. It was so great! To get all the cards from everyone! Thank you all!!
Spiritual Thought for the week:
So today we had and activity as a zone and we went to a park that is really close to the chapel and we went and contacted but with the objective of giving tours of the capilla. And one of the tours that we had was with a yound woman and her little girl. My companion being the spiritually receptive person that she is decided to show here a picture of Christ and His apostles and made the question "Do you think that the apostles and prophets are important?" and the young woman answered with Yes. And then we explained that today we have a prophet and and aplostles. She was really excited to know that. And it got me thinking that something that is so obvious for us as members, like the fact that there is a prophet of God here on the Earth, is something that is completely new and amazing for others. Imagine how it would be if you did not know about prophets. Now think of all the people you know who do not have that same understanding. And then think of the power you have to help someone else come to know this, and have this hope. Jacob 4:6. Mi esperanza es que ustedes puedan sentir el gran amor que es compartir el evangelio. I hope you will all be able to feel the love that comes from sharing the gospel.
Hope you have a great week!
Les amo,
Hna. Milligan

Finally!! I have tried cuy!!! (guinea pig) And it tastes good, it wasn`t quite like chicken a little different but it was yummy! Don`t look at my face, I look really tired... jaja.
